Steps to becoming a volunteer

  1. All interested volunteers are asked to register for one of our New Volunteer Orientation Sessions. These 1.5 hour classes are offered every 6 weeks and will cover the mission of South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre (SEOCHC), what volunteering for SEOCHC looks like and explain in detail the application process.
  2. During orientation, all interested applicants will be given an Application Package to complete. As part of the screening, you will be asked to provide two references and complete a free police record check. Participating in orientation and completing the application process does not guarantee a volunteer placement. Successful placements are based on available opportunities and suitability of the applicant.
  3. Once the application and screening process is complete, you will meet with the Volunteer Coordinator to discuss possible positions and to find the best fit possible.
