SEOCHC is an inter-professional health, social and community service not-for-profit agency.  We envision a community that works together to ensure a safe, just and healthy life for all, where Every One matters.  The Centre requires a part-time bilingual Program Assistant to provide program and administrative support at our Early ON site on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post secondary training in office management, secretarial or a related program or an equivalent combination of experience & education
  • Three years’ experience in office administration, preferably in an inter-professional setting & a not-for-profit organization
  • Proven skills with databases and computer software, i.e., client/volunteer databases, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc
  • Fluency in French and English is essential, other languages an asset
  • Strong organizational, time management, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in dealing with vulnerable populations

Salary range $37,277 to $44,368/annum (pro-rated to .6fte) plus generous benefits

package.

                                                                                                                  EARLY ON

                                                                                      Part Time, (16 hours/week) Indeterminate

 

SEOCHC is an inter-professional health, social and community service not-for-profit agency.  We envision a community that works together to ensure a safe, just and healthy life for all, where Every One matters.  The Centre requires a part-time Program Assistant to assist the Registered Early Childhood Educator to deliver quality pre-school children’s programs at the EarlyON playgroups in four locations in Ottawa-South.   You will also assist with the set up/take down and facilitation of the programs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Secondary school or higher education
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working directly with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English is essential, ability to speak French, Somali or Arabic an asset
  • Knowledge of special needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in dealing with vulnerable populations
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector

Salary range $14.28 – $18.51/hour
