Becoming a Member of the Board

South-East Ottawa CHC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, who are elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting in September.

To be eligible for election to the Board you must be a Member of South-East Ottawa Community Services, live or work in our catchment area, agree with the Vision, Mission and Values of the Centre, and be at least 18 years of age.

The Board consists of 12 voting members, 2 non-voting staff representatives and the Executive Director, who is ex-officio. Board members are elected to 3 year terms, and can be re-elected for 1 additional 3 year term, for a total of no more than 6 continuous years of service.

The Board normally meets monthly, on the 4th Thursday of every month for 2 hours.
