South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre has a membership and a Board of Directors. Members participate in the Annual General Meeting and other meetings which may be held throughout the year. The Board of Directors is the governing body and is responsible for the affairs of the Health Centre. The Annual Report of the directors, financial statements and the report of the Auditors are presented and adopted at each Annual General Meeting. At the meeting, the Board of Directors and Auditor for the next year are chosen.

South-East Ottawa CHC looks to the community for support and leadership. Individuals are encouraged to join the Health Centre as members and play an active part by serving on committees and even on the Board itself.

There is no membership fee. Membership is open to everyone and you do not have to be a client to become a member. We encourage clients and those who live in South-East Ottawa's neighbourhoods to become members. Members receive copies of our Newsletter, Between Us/Entre nous, notices of special events and other information from time to time.

To be eligible for regular membership, you must be 18 years of age or older. Membership is renewed biannually. Membership must be valid for twenty days prior to the Annual General Meeting in order to vote.

The Board may also grant honorary membership at its discretion. This status is usually reserved for recognizing individuals, organizations or businesses which have made a special contribution to the Health Centre.

For anyone wishing to become a member of the health centre, volunteer to participate on a committee, or stand for election to the Board of Directors, please email us at office@seochc.on.ca.
