COVID-19 Antiviral Treatment

Antiviral treatments for Covid 19 are now available in the community for people with symptoms (even if mild) who are at higher risk of progressing to severe disease requiring hospitalization.

These treatments must be taken within the first 5 days of your symptoms starting (first day of symptoms is day 0).  Antiviral treatment (Paxlovid) is available for higher-risk individuals with COVID-19 (ontariohealth.ca)

If you are at higher risk of severe Covid 19 and you are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms: Fever or Chills , cough, Shortness of Breath, decreased

or loss of taste or smell  (even if mild)seek testing and care immediately by:

 Visiting a clinical assessment centre (where you can get tested, assessed, and provided treatment or a prescription): COVID-19 testing locations (ontario.ca)

  • Contacting a primary care provider to check on you and determine your need for the treatment. The medication requires prescription from a Physician or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Call Telehealth Ontario at 866-797-0000
  • For SEOCHC clients, call the clinic at 613-737-4809 between 9h and 4h30 and a nurse will talk to you or call you back to assess your situation and will guide you on the next steps.

 

You should immediately call 911 or go to the emergency department if you experience one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Severe difficulty breathing (struggling for each breath, can only speak in single words)
  • Severe chest pain (constant tightness or crushing sensation)
  • Feeling confused or unsure of where you are
  • Losing consciousness.

  • We are offering COVID-19 Vaccinations at 1355 Bank Street, Suite 105 (ground floor).
  • You can get your 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th dose (based on eligibility).

Wellness Clinic

Please be informed that we are also offering Wellness Clinics every Thursday between 1 and 4 pm.

  • You can get your blood pressure checked
  • Get information on diabetes prevention
  • Talk to a nurse about your health and well-being

The following are the criteria:

  1. Online appointments are virtual (phone/video) only and should be booked for appointments that do not need physical assessments.
  2. Online booking requires your OHIP card to be entered
